[edit]

This Wikipedia entry popped up after the publication of my first book, Shutterbabe. I did not create it. It is not an autobiography, as the page now speculates. However, before my last book came out, The Red Book, my publishers (Hyperion) tried to fix dozens of inaccuracies. Now, following the publication of this essay I wrote in The Nation, the Wikipedia entry has been vastly changed again and has many missing elements. The most important are as follows:

1) The name of my second novel: The Red Book

2) That this second novel was long-listed for The Women's Prize for Fiction, formerly the Orange Prize: Women's Prize for Fiction Longlist

3) The existence of my first book, the bestselling Shutterbabe

4) Personal life. I don't care if the personal life is gone, but your readers in the past have liked to link me with my eldest son, Jacob Kogan, who played Young Spock in Star Trek, among many other roles. Insignificant to anyone except Trekkies, but they're usually a vocal bunch.

Less important:

1) I was born in Boston, yes, but I grew up in Potomac, MD: author bio 2) I lived in Paris from 1988-91, Moscow from 1991-92, New York from 1992-present day: author bio 3) As a photojournalist, I covered events in Israel, Afghanistan, the USSR coup, the Romanian revolution, Zimbabwe, LA girl gangs, crack and crime in DC, etc. Here are my photos: 4) I was exhibited at the inaugural Visa Pour L'Image Photojournalism Festival: — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.203.96.175 (talk) 14:08, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
